Our small groups are at the heart of our church life and community. Small groups are characterized by a vital spiritual pursuit, an intimate loving atmosphere, and a committed goal of spiritual fruit-bearing (John 15:12-17). Groups organically form and develop across the city, across all ages, and across all ethnicities.
While we treasure the larger Sunday gatherings where the whole church comes together, the small groups add a more personal and daily component to our church lives. The New Testament frequently uses the term “one another”, and it is through our small groups that we practically enter into a “one another” living where we:
“love one another” (John 13:34)
“show honor one to another” (Rom. 12:10)
“be of the same mind toward one another” (Rom. 12:16)
“greet one another” (Rom. 16:16)
“bear one another’s burdens” (Gal. 6:2)
“bearing one another in love” (Eph. 4:2)
“speaking to one another in psalms and hymns” (Eph. 5:19)
“teaching and admonishing one another” (Col. 3:16)
“exhort one another each day” (Heb. 3:13)
“consider one another so as to incite one another to love and good works” (Heb. 10:24)
“blessing one another” (1 Pet. 3:9)
“be hospitable to one another” (1 Pet. 4:9)
